	We had the most beautiful view from our villa at the Lighthouse on Cane Garden Bay. Although, we were disappointed that our villa was just one big room instead of having a separate bedroom. In addition, the beaches were extremely narrow. There was not much room to walk or place a lounge chair. We also found it very depressing to see litter everywhere.

	We selected Lighthouse based on comments we read on the web, and were not disappointed. It was a charming place to unwind. I was tempted to provide a five-star rating, but did not want to mislead other readers into thinking this was a luxurious resort. It was casual Caribbean comfort with lots of extra amenities. After our visit to Cane Garden, there is no other place I would rather stay. We had been boating for a week and had two nights where we wanted a comfortable, clean and romantic place to stay that was close to everything. I wasn't expecting an ocean view, since we were on the bottom floor in Penthouse 2. I was pleasantly suprised with a great view, nice size terrace with chairs and table-great place for grabbing a bottle of wine and watching the sunset. We had a comfortable bed and linens, large bathroom, refrigerator, a/c, microwave, oven, dishes, etc., etc. The location and room couldn't have been more perfect for someone wanting a little peace and quiet and yet just steps away from the beach and nightlife.

	We selected Lighthouse Villas based upon the consistently excellent reviews on this website and others....so our expectations were high. It was even better than we expected, and overall a wonderful choice, reasonably priced. Cane Garden Bay was a convenient base from which to explore Tortola, as it was close to Roadtown, West End, and some of the nicest beaches. Lighthouse Villas was located at the far end of the restaurant, hotel, and entertainment area in Cane Garden Bay, and slightly up the hillside. It was quiet at night, yet only a short walk from all the activity, and the beach was about 30 seconds away. We were surprised to have this beautiful beach almost to ourselves! Lighthouse provided lounge chairs and beach towels. Our suite was very comfortable. It was roomy, light and airy, the king-size bed was comfortable, and the air conditioner cooled the entire suite very well. The place was immaculate inside and out. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. We also liked the walk-in closet, which was big enough to store suitcases, snorkel gear, shoes, and clothes. The kitchen was full-size and equipped to turn out meals like at home. The suite was beautifully decorated in a casual, beachy style with white wicker furniture. Everything was really in excellent condition. All appliances, electronics, amenities, etc. were in good working order. Although the property was about seven years old, there were none of the usual signs of wear and tear. Things were obviously well maintained and replaced on a regular basis. Outside, there was a secluded deck with furniture, a grill, an honor bar, and a spa. Although landscaping must be a challenge because of the steep hillside behind Lighthouse, Malcia created a beautiful terraced garden with colorful tropical blossoms. The two things we liked best about Lighthouse were the stunning views of the bay and sunsets from our balcony, and the welcoming reception and helpfulness of Malcia and Toni. We will definitely go back to Lighthouse Villas.

	We chose the Lighthouse Villas from the web site based on the high ratings it received from everyone who had posted a review. We were not disappointed. We were delayed on our flight into Beef Island, so we arrived after dark on Saturday night. Malcia was there to greet us and show us to our penthouse villa. We loved it immediately. It had everything we needed and more - a kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, blender, toaster, pots, pans and dishes, etc. There was a table, chairs, and a sitting area with couch and chairs. The bedroom area was furnished in white wicker and included a comfortable king-sized bed, dresser and walk-in closet. The best part was the French doors and lovely white drapes that opened to a balcony with a million dollar view. The large bathroom had a huge shower with a window that allowed you to listen to the roosters and frogs - depending on the time of the day. We had a small resident lizard who startled us a couple of times, but I am sure he kept any insects/bugs at bay. To complete the facilities it also had a TV, CD player and remote controlled air conditioning and phone. It was beautifully clean - the white tiled floor sparkled and there was a daily maid service that supplied fresh towels for the bathroom and beach daily. We stayed at the Lighthouse for a week and had a wonderful time. It was so close to the lovely quiet side of the beach where beach chairs were provided. There were many restaurants so close - all within walking distance. And each one offered an interesting selection of food and drinks at fairly reasonable prices. Malcia, the keeper of the light, and Toni, were always available if we needed any help and to answer our questions. They made us feel very welcome. We never had any concerns to report to her - everything worked well. The best thing about staying at the Villas was the absolutely fablulous view from the balcony. It was like having an ever-changing canvas to view each day - depending on the weather and the time of the day. The pink clouds of the sunrise, the rainbow over Jost Van Dyke, the moon shimmering across the bay and lighting up the room, the setting sun on our last evening that bathed the whole sky and ocean in red, and so many sailing boats moored in the Bay, even the tropical down pour were views we will not soon forget. We feel we found our little bit of paradise. We only had two little concerns. The first was the lack of water pressure on the shower, and the second was the steep climb from the beach to the villas. Also, the steep stairs made it difficult carrying luggage up and down. I must say the beautiful tropical flowers that lined the steep pathway and the walkway to the villas helped us overcome and enjoy the physically challenging climb.

	I just returned from a three-night stay at the Lighthouse Villas. We found it to be very clean, comfortable and convenient. Cane Garden Bay provided plenty of casual beach bars, resturants and some evening activities. The view from the penthouse suite was amazing. We spent the beginning and end of every day on the balcony unable to get over the fabulous view! The villa was totally furnished and had all that was needed to cook meals daily (if desired). Arranging transportation, either taxi or water ferry, was extremely easy. The accommodations were not luxury, but what I would call casual, Caribbean comfort. The king-sized bed was extremely comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, the balcony was fairly large and, although water pressure in the British Virgin Islands left a lot to be desired, the Lighthouse's water was hot and the showers were huge. I would higly recommend the penthouse suite at the Lighthouse Villas to anyone looking for peace and quiet while close to some night life and restaurants.

	I chose the Lighthouse Villas off of this web-site and I must say I was a little reluctant at first to book a vacation off the internet - sight unseen. I must say though that my wife and I were more than pleased when we finally arrived. We had the Palm Tree Suite with an enormous king-sized bed, clean tiled bath, a nice kitchen and eating area and a sitting area with a couch and chairs. The killer (since we spent all our time on the beautiful little beach anyway) was the glorious view of the bay and the boats, Jost Van Dyke and the sunset every night right off our own balcony. The owner, Malcia, was very sweet and helpful - I needed a lot of help since the airline lost my luggage. There were also fresh beach towels every day, coffee and creamer in the cubbord and a nice selection of books to read. Cable TV and a radio were also provided(but cable in the British Virgin Islands was horrible). Cane Garden Bay was a fine beautiful beach and there were a couple of decent restaurants and bars. So if you don't have a car, you're not at all stuck. I'd recommend getting a car, although driving in Tortola was scarier than a boardwalk fun ride. My only complaint was that when there was a cruise ship in, they brought their people over to Cane Garden Bay, but they stay clear of the beach out in front of the Light House Villas. For the money, I don't think you'll find a better value in Totola or nicer more helpful hosts.

	My wife and I chose the Lighthouse for our honeymoon largely on the strength of the previous reviews, and we were not disappointed. We loved the Lighthouse, we loved Cane Garden Bay, and we loved Tortola! The rooms (and views) were lovely, especially in late afternoon, when the light shimmered on the water and bathed the room in a warm glow. The beach was terrific -- great for swimming -- and even closer than we expected. Although several casual restaurants were just a few steps away, the beach right in front of the Villas was partially hidden from the "main" beach by a small jetty, and felt peaceful and semi-private. I can't imagine a Caribbean vacation with a better combination of the convenient and the idyllic. We would recommend the Villas (and Tortola!) without reservation.

	My husband and I just spent 2 weeks at the Lighthouse Villas and have never enjoyed a vacation more. Our suite was lovely and the view from the balcony was unbelieveable. Malcia and Toni were so friendly and helpful and our room was spotlessly cleaned every day. We definitely plan on returning.

	My husband, our 11-year old and myself enjoyed our Christmas vacation in the beautiful penthouse villa. The decorations fit the natural setting perfectly. It also has the perfect deck to dine on and watch the boats and activities. We liked having the barbecue down in the honor bar area and put it to good use. The host Malcia makes you feel so at home. The maid service was great. Most appreciated was the clean beach towels every morning. We can't wait to go back!

	My husband, 9-year-old daughter, my daughter's friend and I enjoyed a wonderful week at Lighthouse Villas. It was the first time we visited Tortola with children, and Lighthouse Villas was the perfect place to stay. We really appreciated the beautiful accommodations and handy amenities (toaster, blender, CD player, etc.). We loved sitting on the balcony watching the activity on the bay. We felt so comfortable there that we even allowed the girls (ages 9 and 12) to go to the beach by themselves. The daily maid service was great, too. The only reason I didn't give this a five-star rating is that the back bedroom was hot, but we would definitely return.

	My wife and I stayed at the Lighthouse for our 10th anniversary. We could not have made a better choice. Malcia and Jerry treated us like old friends. We stayed in the penthouse suite with views that were unbelievable. The condition of our suite was immaculate and well appointed. At one point, all of Cane Garden Bay lost electric power, imagine our surprise when our electric came back on a few minutes later. The Lighthouse has a backup generator. Did we feel special or what? Thanks Malcia and Jerry for a most memorable anniversary!

	My husband and I chose the Lighthouse Villas & Cane Garden Bay for our honeymoon destination and we had the best possible vacation in the world. One may pay a decent price, but the memories are worth it. Romance, sunsets, quiet time and rum punches. It feels like a dream when you're here. Our hosts helped create the comfort and peace with just the right combination of wicker, flowing drapes, comfortable conversation and laughter. We'll be sure to visit again.

	The Lighthouse Villas are fantastic - clean, beautifully decorated, with everything anyone would require. There is an excellent maid service every day, and shops (and the amazing beach) are just two steps away. Malcia and Jerry, who own the Villas, are the best hosts anyone could want - they keep right out of your hair unless you want them for something! (At least that's what we Brits like.) And as for price - the Villas are incredibly inexpensive, compared with other holidays I have seen, it would be easy to pay more in Europe and the holiday would be nowhere near as great at this.
