Description:

Cane Garden Bay is probably one of the most beautiful beaches in the British Virgin Islands. ELM Beach Suites are newly built and located directly on the beach with just sea grape trees separating you from the water. ELM is locally owned and operated by Elvet Myers, a superior sailor and sailmaker and skipper of the oldest Island Sloop in existence (1890). He and his staff will go out of their way to provide you with the best in water sports and activities. Everything is available at Cane Garden Bay so you really don't have to leave the beach.

ELM has five separate suites, each with a private air-conditioned
bedroom, kitchenette, bath with shower, living room with queen sized sofa
and television and porch. The rooms are of medium size and are newly
decorated with rattan furniture and painted in soft Caribbean pastel colors.
Each is geared towards water activity and children. There is a boutique
also on the premises that features the newest in island wear and bathing
suits (since that is what you will wear 90% of the time), island art and
beauty products.

There is an outdoor bar adjacent to the suites and is a local meeting
place so be prepared to learn a lot about island life. There is also an
active volleyball court located on the premises. Within a short walk, you
will find a choice of six restaurants, live Caribbean music, shops and more
so you will not have to leave the area for dining or entertainment.

Elvet and his staff can arrange activities such as sailing, snorkeling,
fishing, horseback riding and tennis. He can also provide you with a rental car.
If it's a massage you're looking for, they are available too. The sun usually sets over Cane Garden Bay so long walks on the beach are an extra plus.

Trips via ferry to surrounding islands can be arranged as can
hiking and other island activities. Bring very informal clothes with
shorts, tops, sandals and swimwear. Don't forget your books also.

The easiest way to reach Cane Garden Bay is to fly into Beef Island
Airport via American Eagle from Puerto Rico and take a cab, or make
arrangements with Elvet, for the twenty minute ride from the airport to Cane
Garden Bay. The drive is scenic and will take you over Tortola's mountain
range - just the right way to rejuvenate after a long flight.

Make plans to stay awhile. There is a lot do to on this part of the
island so unwind and enjoy your stay.
