Description:
Treasure Isle Hotel is nestled on a hillside located directly across the street from The Moorings Charter Company and has full use of their water sports. The rooms are lovely and are decorated in bright Caribbean colors. Each room has a phone and features two double beds or kings with accent furniture in rattan. The floors are tiled with island rugs scattered about. Each looks out over the harbor and has a balcony. They are also air-conditioned although sea breezes abound.
As the hotel has two stories and no elevator, it is best to designate which floor you would prefer. Treasure Isle has a small pool that is located next to its restaurant The Lim'n Mango, which is within walking distance of all of the rooms. It is more of a lounging pool than a "lap" pool, so bring your books. The handicap access is not the best as stairs are involved. The hotel also
features the famous Spyglass Bar, a favorite bar for local yachties, located above the restaurant and pool and overlooking the active Moorings charter facilities. The landscaping of Treasure Isle is really beautiful and large palms serve as open walls to the Lim'n Mango.
Facilities featured are a small island boutique, a laundry room, water sports of all types and babysitting services. Cribs are provided for small children. All of this is within a walk to Road Town, the capital city of Tortola. There you will find services and entertainment of all types.
Treasure Isle is within walking distance to Tortola's lush Botanical Gardens, the inter-island ferry and the Peter Island Ferry for all day excursions. Remember hose and heels is the exception not the norm here. Flat shoes are the mode of the day and your feet will thank you for remembering
them.
The hotel also offers complimentary transportation to beach and water sports sites on the island as well as complimentary tennis at the Moorings. Anair-conditioned, 100-person conference room facility is available as well as full catering service. The Henley family from Tortola has just purchased the hotel from The Moorings. Their island staff is friendly and courteous and you will find yourself enchanted by their stories of "yesteryear".
